>> oh, boy. facebook, facebook, facebook. hello, viewer. thanks for writing in. this one is tricky. it speaks to that bigger issue, facebook etiquette. indeed, social network etiquette. all this stuff is relatively new, so no rules really apply.
9:16 am
first, let me deal with your simple question, are you overreacting by not liking this conversation that was about you. of course not. not at all, actually. your feelings are justified in my opinion. essentially they are involving you in their conversation initially without your knowledge. you knew later. they were saying that the two of you should be together. did i mention this is the ex- wife and the? okay. they may have put any current relationship you are in now in jeopardy. did they consider your current boyfriend, if you have one, might have a whole bunch of questions now about this past relationship? and really, why are his ex-wife and mother of his child so involved in his life and facebook page anyway? that's a whole other issue. i'm going to stay away from that one. bottom line, these two women, what they were saying is indeed flattering. it could have been another thing. it wasn't that. it's flattering.
9:17 am
it's not the fault of your ex they brought up your name in the first place. it is his fault for not stopping this conversation. there are message boxes, you could inbox him. he should have done that and told these women to stop involving you in their facebook conversation. should you reach out to them? hmm. maybe. i think that you could just say, hey, that was flattering, coming from you guys, wow. but that you are now past that relationship and that you would prefer it if they didn't bring your name up in this manner. it opens up a lot of questions. that is not an outrageous request. i think that you should do it privately, send them a message, hey, or ask him to do it. at the end of the day, we all have to set up boundaries in life. and yes, that includes social media. a lot of problems are coming out of this. we're talking about online affairs, if you will, talking to exes here and there, if you will. you're not doing any of this. you have the right to control
